Seth Marlowe, "The Treasury Whisperer"

Executive Producer and Host of The Treasury Whisperer's Talkcast Podcast

Seth Marlowe is a nationally recognized voice in treasury, payments, banking, and financial innovation. Known throughout the industry as “The Treasury Whisperer,” he brings a rare 360-degree perspective shaped by a career spanning corporate treasury, commercial banking, product management, technology, and fintech.

Few professionals have experienced the industry from as many sides of the table. Seth has served in the treasurer’s chair at Danone North America, led global treasury transformation initiatives at GE, advised enterprise clients as a senior strategist and solutions architect at Wells Fargo, and served as Head of Treasury Product Management, Strategy and Innovation at Synovus.

At Synovus, Seth led the strategy, development, and launch of several major digital treasury platforms, including Synovus Gateway, Accelerate AR, Accelerate FX, and Accelerate Pay. His work helped modernize the bank’s treasury offering, migrate hundreds of corporate clients to more efficient solutions, and advance the use of embedded payments, APIs, and fintech partnerships.

In 2025, Seth founded Treasury Whisperer LLC, an advisory and media company created to connect and advance the treasury, banking, payments, and fintech communities. Through the company, he advises financial institutions and fintech providers, develops industry content, moderates executive conversations, and helps organizations communicate complex ideas with greater clarity and impact.

In late July 2025, Seth launched The Treasury Whisperer’s Talkcast Podcast. What began as a personal experiment quickly developed into one of the top emerging podcasts serving the treasury, banking, payments, and fintech ecosystem. The show features candid conversations with executives, practitioners, innovators, and industry personalities about their careers, challenges, ideas, and the forces reshaping financial services.

The podcast is built around a simple premise: some of the industry’s best insights come directly from the people doing the work.

Building on that success, Treasury Whisperer LLC now offers Podcast as a Service (PaaS) for companies that want to establish a credible podcast presence but do not have the internal team, experience, or capacity required to build and sustain one. The service can support the entire process—from concept development, branding, guest strategy, and production through hosting, editing, distribution, and promotion.

What distinguishes Seth is his ability to make complex topics understandable, relevant, and actionable. He combines the perspective of a treasury practitioner, banker, product leader, and industry strategist with a natural curiosity about the people and ideas shaping the future of the industry.

Seth is also a sought-after speaker, moderator, advisor, and community builder. He has contributed to programs hosted by McKinsey’s Cash Management Forum, Datos Insights’ Commercial and Small Business Banking Forum, the Association for Financial Professionals, TMANY’s New York Cash Exchange, Strategic Treasurer, KyribaLive, and other leading industry conferences, events, podcasts and platforms.

Beyond the microphone and conference stage, Seth serves on industry councils, mentors rising professionals, and brings together leaders from across the treasury ecosystem.

As The Treasury Whisperer, Seth combines strategic insight, practical experience, and human connection - helping organizations and professionals better understand how money moves, how technology is changing the industry, and where treasury and payments are headed next.
