Scott is Founder of N3XT, a full-reserve bank with programmable real-time settlement. At N3xT, he is focused on helping shape the future of banking, payments, and financial infrastructure in a blockchain-based digital-first world. Scott was also the co-founder of Signature Bank, which grew from a startup commercial bank into one of the largest and most successful banking institutions in the United States, surpassing $100 billion in assets. During his time at Signature, Scott helped lead the development and launch of Signet as Signature's 24 by 7 blockchain-enabled payment network.

Scott has spent more than four decades building financial institutions and advancing innovation in commercial banking, payments, and digital assets. Beyond banking, he is also an accomplished author and thought leader. He has written 3 books - none of which are about banking or payments industry. His most recent book published in 2021 is entitled Conspiracy U: A Case Study, which examines how conspiracy theories, particularly those involving Zionism and antisemitism, can gain acceptance within academic institutions and influence public discourse.
